Before you launch your podcast, you must choose the right host. Spreaker and Blubrry are among the best podcast hosts on the market, but which one is the best for you? Also, is there a third option available?
Spreaker: a thorough tool, but a remote customer service
Spreaker is apparently flawless. It was launched in 2010 and is quite a thorough host; it has almost all the features any podcaster needs – swift and easy broadcasting on all the platforms, a free plan for up to 10 episodes, an €8/month plan including a high storage capacity (up to 100 hours), etc.
However, the €8/month plan only features a basic statistics module. For more detailed stats, you must go for the €20/month plan 💸 or pay even more if you need all the stats in detail.
Spreaker has a couple of flaws too; the interface is slightly messy, and it feels a bit distant from the users. You can only contact the customer service by email, and you often must send reminders to get a reply.
Blubrry: a gadget-like Wordpress plug-in
Blubrry is one of the oldest American hosts. The interface is quite popular, and the price is okay – $10/month for 125mb without advanced stats, which are available for $17/month. As for the platform itself, it features a Wordpress plug-in through which you can manage your podcast directly from your website.
The truth is that this plug-in is quite useless in fact. It even seems to bring you back to the early days of the Internet sometimes. Same goes for the interface, which might seem confusing for beginners, and for the audio players that are slightly outdated 👴.
Podcastics: the best of both worlds
Our main purpose is to offer you the best value for money in terms of podcast hosting. The Pro plan – the most popular one – costs $9.60/month and includes unlimited storage. The features are much more complete than Spreaker's and Blubrry's. Your website is customizable, ad-free and includes blog articles. You have access to the best stats on the market, sexy audio players as well as many other features designed to make things easier and help your podcast grow.
You don’t believe us? Check by yourself! Try Podcastics for free for a month – no need to give us your credit card details! You can then compare Podcastics and its rivals and choose the best host for your podcast! If you have any questions, don't hesitate: our customer service will amaze you with its responsiveness.
