How can I make money with my podcast? If you've got a question about the monetization process, whether with Podcastics or other means, take a look here: you might just find the answer you're looking for.
How does crowdfunding work?
Crowdfunding allows your listeners to support your project for amounts that you choose (e.g. €1/month, €2, €5...). In exchange, you can offer them “rewards” to say thank you; these can range from the simplest (like mentioning their name on the show) to the most elaborate, such as giving them access to exclusive content (bonus episodes, making-of, special interviews...). You can also offer them the chance to attend the recording of a show, have a coffee ☕ with the team, offer them a t-shirt 👕... Anything is possible!
There are two main platforms for this. First, a French one: Tipeee. It's very easy to create a page to raise funds. The second, Patreon, is American. Its operation is more complex, but it also offers many more possibilities, such as access to private content reserved for paying members.
The advantage of monetizing through crowdfunding is that it can be set up for any podcast, including those with small audiences. Podcastics lets you add your Tipeee or Patreon – or any other platform – link to your podcast with a single click; a “Support Us” button will then appear on your website and audio players, to help engage your listeners.
Can I integrate ads to my podcast with Podcastics?
Absolutely, it's possible to set up automatic advertising on podcasts hosted on Podcastics.
As part of our Extreme package, Podcastics provides you with powerful tools for managing your own ad campaigns. You have total freedom in your choices: pre-roll or post-roll placement, scheduling, priority level, capping the number of plays... You can even link them together, ensuring that your schedule is 100% full. One last little extra? Each campaign can automatically insert a message of your choice in the description of your episodes.
Apart from crowdfunding and advertising, aren't there any other options for making money with my podcast?
There are actually quite a few alternatives, but most of them require your podcast to be a success. We recommend that you read our article entitled Monetization: how to make money with your podcast. It presents the most common options, but also explores less frequently exploited avenues such as goodies or affiliation.
