Season 1, episode 48

Tennessee native and Myrtle Beach Marathon winner Ken Rideout joins Landon today to talk about growing up hustling, mental toughness, and his athletic career. Beginning his career working in a penitentiary, Ken currently serves as Head of Business Development at Upside Financing, as well as President of Camrock Advisors.

Ken is an advocate of “The Fight.” Growing up in a working class, inner city neighborhood, sports became Ken’s escape. He began working at a prison that would later house his younger brother. Ken later pursued finance, traveling back and forth between New York City and London. “It felt like somebody else’s life” states Ken.

At the age of 50, Ken is running faster than he ever has before. Finishing the Myrtle Beach Marathon in 2:30, The London Marathon in 2:29, and The New York Marathon in 2:33, Ken is one of the most driven guests Spark to Fire has had the pleasure of hosting.
