Show notes

Little did I know when I moved from one small Iowa town to another in 5th grade, that God would place incredible people in my life who would impact me and influence my life for good for decades. Two of these people join me on the podcast today in our guest episode of the month. These two friends, Karen Wacker and Sheila Schulte, were two of the first I met as the new kid in 5th grade--and we're still friends today! We've all gone our separate ways, doing varied things in life, yet we've never lost touch with each other. We don't see each other often, but when we do, we pick back up right where we left off the last time. Decades of their friendship have blessed my life so, and I'm immensely grateful for such gifts as Karen and Sheila. They've played a part in me being the person I am today, with many memories, laughter, and lots of fun.

I knew we wouldn't have a lull in conversation, as we never do. We discuss much in this episode. Everything from our childhood (wait until to see what Sheila surprises Karen and I with!) and what our lives consist of now. We share tears of both laughter and challenges, and we cling to and offer hope and encouragement. We get real as we always do with each other, and it's a gift to share this conversation with you.

I believe you'll think Karen and Sheila are as amazing as I do!

As we close out our Spring Cleaning for the Soul series, I invite you back next week. Our new timely and fresh series for May is Bloom Where You're Planted. We're looking at what happens before blooming, while blooming, and after blooming in life. I pray it blesses you all month long. The newest episode will drop next Tuesday.

Stay encouraged today and God bless you!
