23. Winning Women: Living Life on Purpose (The Intro)
Episode 23 – Let’s look at leadership multidimensionally. For the month of May 2020, Challenge Yo Self is excited to tackle Women in Leadership with a series entitled “Winning Women: Living Life on Purpose”. Ashley and Joy begin the series discussing the significance of the month of May from Mental Health Awareness Month to National Military Appreciation Month and beyond… and they make the decision to add women in leadership to spearhead the discussion of the month. They shift the discussion from the portrayal of the elite few in leadership to the idea that every woman is a leader. As they introduce the series, Ashley and Joy discuss their perceptions of leadership, the goal to interview women around the globe and provide leadership perspectives from various fields. It’s time to shift the mindset of what it means to be a leader by sharing stories, shifting expectations, and discussing what it means to win, past and present. From internships to the once-coveted corner office, Ashley and Joy discuss the changing landscape of leadership and what that means for women.
