Show notes

In today’s episode of the Encouragement for Real Life Podcast, Julie Lefebure continues the series, The Stuff We Keep Inside, with Episode 2: What We Are Carrying That No One Knows.

Many women are silently holding burdens they were never meant to carry alone. It may be grief that hasn’t been processed, anxiety that has been quietly managed, pressure to keep everything together, disappointment that hasn’t been voiced, or the constant weight of feeling responsible for everyone else. On the outside, life may look fine. Women may still be showing up, serving, and doing what needs to be done. But on the inside, the heaviness is real.

In this episode, Julie explores why women often carry so much in silence, what hidden weight can do to the heart and mind over time, and what God invites His daughters to do instead. Jesus does not shame the weary—He calls them to come to Him. And the abundant life He came to give includes freedom, peace, and rest, not constant heaviness.

Julie encourages listeners through Scripture and reminds them that surrender is not denial. Giving burdens to God does not mean pretending they don’t hurt—it means no longer carrying them alone. She also shares practical, faith-filled steps for naming what is being carried, releasing it to Jesus, replacing fear with truth, and allowing safe community to help bear what feels too heavy.

This episode offers hope for the woman who feels weighed down but doesn’t know how to put it into words. You will be reminded that you not alone, and you don't have to carry it by yourself.
