Show notes

It's our guest episode for the month! Julie is joined by her dear friend Marcia for an honest and encouraging conversation about seasons of waiting, transition, trusting God, and remembering that you were made for more.

As the You Were Made for More series concludes, Marcia shares openly about a major life transition she is walking through—retirement after many years of working and serving others. While exciting, the season also brings uncertainty, questions, and the need to trust God in the unknown.

One powerful phrase from their conversation stands out: there is power in the wait. So often we want to rush through waiting seasons. Marcia reminds us that God is still working in the in-between moments. Even when nothing seems to be happening, God is moving, shaping, preparing, and strengthening us.

They also discuss the importance of getting back to the basics of faith. Returning to God’s Word, learning to trust His timing, and making space to hear His voice again. Also, they talk about friendship, growth, healing from past seasons, and how God continues to reveal that He always has more for our lives.

If you’re currently in a season that feels uncertain, delayed, overwhelming, or unclear, this episode will encourage you to pause, breathe, and remember how far God has already brought you. Sometimes the next step isn’t a giant leap—it’s simply one small faithful step forward.

Marcia encourages us to take one minute for ourselves this week—to watch a sunrise, step outside for fresh air, enjoy a quiet cup of coffee, or simply pause and remember that you matter too.

If you’re in a season of waiting, or you’re feeling that pull toward something more, please join Julie at her upcoming event: God Didn’t Bring You This Far to Just Exist. It’s happening on May 2 from 9–11 AM at A Place for Friends in Cedar Rapids. It’s going to be a special morning of encouragement, connection, and stepping into the life God has for you. Details are at the link below.

Julie also shares about her new 365-day devotional Made for More. It's created for the woman who is ready to stop merely getting through life and begin thriving in it. Check it out at the link below.

If you’re in a waiting season today, take heart. God is still working, and there is more ahead than you can see right now.
