Utah State men’s basketball seized first place in the Mountain West standings Wednesday night, routing New Mexico 86-66 to hand the Lobos their worst loss at The Pit in over five years. Junior guard Mason Falslev scored a team-high 19 points and freshman Adlan Elamin posted his first career double-double as the Aggies used a dominant defense to outscore their hosts 50-33 in the second half. The statement road win improved Utah State to 19-3 overall and 10-2 in conference play, with the team shooting 50 percent from the field and controlling the rebounding battle.
