Becky Kern is a seasoned Warning Coordination Meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Valley, NE, with 25 years of experience protecting eastern Nebraska and southeastern Iowa. Her passion for meteorology began on her family's farm in northwest North Dakota, where dramatic storm views sparked her interest. Over her career, Beck has forecast memorable events such as the Little Sioux Boy Scout Camp tornado, Hallam tornado, the Christmas Blizzard of 2009, the Floods of 2019, and the recent April 26th, 2024 tornado outbreak.
