Are you satisfied in your walk with Christ?
How would you rate your satisfaction in Christ today? In today's episode, Ruth shares from the Word about God's intention to completely satisfy the longing heart. She encourages us to think about how many stars we would give our satisfaction and remind us that "if we're not completely satisfied, the problem is not with the product but with the consumer."
From the very beginning, God provided humans with everything they needed to be 100% satisfied in Him. As He looked at His creation -- and at people -- He pronounced them "very good." In the verses she cited, we see that God still intends for His people to be satisfied:
Psalm 63:5; 65:4; 107:9; Matthew 5:6
In the Bible, God is likened to a nursing mother and we are given a beautiful picture of all of our needs -- spiritual, physical, and emotional -- being met in Him. Ruth suggests that true satisfaction is found only in our closeness to Him.
