God Gives Blessings So We Can Share Them

Read Acts 2:42-47. What do you do with the blessings God gives you? The example of the early church is to share them.

The blessings God gives you are not just for your own enjoyment. The Bible tells us we are stewards of all God gives us. That means we manage his blessings in order to impact and extend his Kingdom. He wants us to use them to make a positive difference in the world around us.

The early church was nothing short of radically generous. Luke tells us they shared everything they had and sold their property and possessions to distribute money to those in need. That is radical! Is that what we should be doing today?

It is clear from the rest of Acts and Paul’s letters that the idea of “sharing everything they had” did not necessarily remain as a model. But giving generously did remain an important priority, and does so today.

And it remains a challenge to us today, especially in the western world. Our culture will tell us to acquire wealth for our own benefit. But God can do amazing things through Christians and churches who are radically generous. How could you use God’s blessings to extend his Kingdom today?

THINK IT OVER
