Today is the fourth Sunday in Lent and our focus on the last 24 hours of Jesus’ life. We participated in Jesus’ Last Supper and the betrayal out in the Garden of Gethsemane. Then, Jesus was taken to stand before the high priest and the religious leaders, who condemned him to die. Now, Jesus is taken to stand trial before the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate.
