is an American pop-rock singer who is also known for his as a painter and designer. Spotted by Lou Reed and Peter Gabriel, former lead singer of Genesis, in 1996, the artist now has some 15 studio albums to his credit. He has also formed a number of bands, including The Lonely Astronauts and Fistful of Mercy, which he founded alongside Ben Harper. He delivers folk with psychedelic pop accents, 70's style. A Joseph Arthur's usual style. Excerpt from this album, the song “In the Sun”, which will be covered by Michael Stipe Stipe of R.E.M. and Chris Martin of Coldplay. On stage, Joseph Arthur could be described as a fallen angel, who, with his guitar and a microphone, constructs swirling, spellbinding live melodies that also leave room for stripped-down the singer's voice alone. Joseph Arthur draws his inspiration from Leonard Cohen, Joe Henry and Lou Reed.
