At Pu O Te Hau Women’s Shelter, psychologist Marine Olibère has worked for a long time with women who have suffered from domestic or family violence. Her sessions aim at freeing up women to speak out and helping them get their lives back on track by creating a trusting environment.

“Often, it's the first time they've opened up about what's happened to them with raw emotion, and a lot of hang-ups, too. My job is first and foremost to get them to talk and loosen up as tactfully as possible”.
