Live Successfully - Reach Your Destiny

David gives Solomon potent instructions on how to live successfully. Likewise, the Holy Spirit instructs us through this verse on how to reach our destiny.
First, Know the Lord. The word here means to know "by observation, be aware, acknowledge Him." The Amplified Bible puts is this way: "Have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, understand, appreciate, heed, and cherish Him." Knowing God happens when we pursue a vibrant, personal relationship.
Second, we should serve the Lord with a blameless/loyal heart and willing mind. Te serve the Lord means "to work with and to worship." Blameless and loyal means "complete, friendly, full, just, peaceable, perfect, whole, finished." It is the same word as peace. We do not stay broken, in pieces and in tatters. We must allow the Lord to build us up, make us, and complete us. A willing mind means to "delight in, be pleased with, have pleasure, desiring." We must make move our minds beyond neutral and negative into the positive realm. Jesus said, "You must love the Lord with all your heart and mind."
Thirdly, we must seek God as He seeks us. God seeks us. The word here means: "to follow, to seek, to enquire, to frequent a place." God love to frequent our lives and hearts, just as we must seek His presence, wisdom in His word and companionship through His Spirit."
