Living Your Best Life
Read Galatians 5:16-26. What happens when we deal with our emotions and learn to live God’s way? We grow spiritual fruit!
When your affection for others is growing, when you sense an exuberance and excitement about life, when you’re able to remain serene in the most chaotic of circumstances, when you are willing to stick with things however difficult the road ahead gets, when you deal with others with a sense of compassion in your heart, when you have a conviction that people and things are basically good and holy, when you keep loyal commitments, when you no longer feel the need to force your way through life and when you can marshal and direct your energies wisely, then you begin to live your best life.
God promises us that if we live our lives this way, then they will be beautiful.
Do you long for more spiritual fruit like this in your life? I know I do! Let’s allow God to love us where we are today, but then asking him to do his Holy Spirit work in us so that we become the kind of people he longs for us to be.
THINK IT OVER
Think about the following:
•To what degree are the spiritual fruit Paul describes realities in your life today?
