Mountain West title race craziness / NCAA Tournament expansion hurts mid-majors / Utah Jazz encouraging play - March 5, 2026

Eric Frandsen and Jason Walker discuss the race for the Mountain West men's basketball championship as it has been one of the strangest stories to unfold in the league's quarter century of history. It's newest champion, Utah State, was crowned while sitting on their couches at home and despite having lost three of their last four games. Losses by San Diego State and New Mexico have given the Aggies at minimum a share of the regular season title.

Eric and Jason look at what the landscape of the Mountain West looks like now and how things can be best laid out for the Aggies in the conference tournament. And a discussion on how NCAA Tournament expansion might have helped mid-major teams in the past, but with where things are moving, it won't help them anymore.
