IN THIS PODCAST:
Often people who are powerful are not people who love the poor. And the people who love the poor are usually people who are not very powerful. However, in Mother Mary, we see a person who is both very powerful and very much loving towards the powerless. In this reflection, the late Fr Xavier Sanjivi reminded us of a beautiful comparison that St. Alphonus Liguori made between Mary the Mother of Jesus and Ruth the grandmother of King David.
This homily was preached by the late Rev. Fr. Xavier Sanjivi, C.Ss.R. on 1st August 2020 during the novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help.
