Here we learn more about the relationship between Mr Bingley and Mr Darcy. The characters of Bingley and Darcy are opposed. Bingley is easy-going and amiable and trusts his friend’s judgement entirely, while Darcy is cleverer but haughty and reserved. Bingley’s character brings him popularity while Darcy is likely to give offence. This is highlighted by the sisters Jane and Elizabeth who are to be the love interests of both.

The new owner of Netherfield Mr Bingley hosts a party and invites several of his friends, including the enigmatic Mr Darcy. The daughters from Meryton country house are invited and so we begin to learn about the main characters in the story. How they acquire their wealth, the social customs of the day and more important how they all view each other both publicly and privately. Let the games begin ....!!
