Rest in God’s Presence
Today's Battle Drill Devotional: Rest in God's Presence
No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:39)
This week we are reassured that nothing can separate us from God’s constant presence. His love is so great we can always feel totally secure in him.
Read Romans 8:31-39. Where are you now? I don’t mean geographically. I mean in your head. In your mind.
Most of us spend a good deal of time in either the past or the future. We replay difficult or painful or worrying times from our past. A challenging conversation. When someone has hurt us. When we felt abandoned by God. Or we worry about the future. What is going to happen to us? What is going to happen to those we love? Perhaps a challenge is on its way. Maybe a difficult conversation is needed. Perhaps we just cannot see the next step to take.
