SS #016: Mari Wuellner
My newest Bff and I sit down and chat about doing hard things.
Mari is a runner, a life coach and a friend. Check out her main IG, she posts valuable content if you just need to get shit done. Also, she’s funny.
Check out her new Love Where You Live IG Account: https://www.instagram.com/lovewhereyoulivewa/
Mari’s episode is awesome, just like her. In the show, we reference going to the Hub Connection in Bellingham. I highly recommend checking it out in person, but at the very least, check out their IG page which I’ll link in the description. I already liked Heather Simpson, the founder of the Hub, but I liked her even more after she shared some vulnerability during the April breakfast. Speaking of the breakfast chats, Mari is going to be the speaker at the next one in May. I’m sad it’s on a Thursday and I cannot attend.
I talk about one of my tattoos in this episode. I have “joy” on my right wrist. From July to December this past year, I started filling up my left arm and started on my right. I have mostly lyrics, words from books and a few illustrations. As my buddy Kyle says, my tattoos are more like bumper stickers. Anyway, if you need someone to do any work on you, check out Anthony’s tattoo business, he’s the only one I go to now. Also here’s a Spotify playlist of the songs that contain the lyrics I have tattooed on me.
Upcoming shows I'm excited for:
Friday, April 21st, Zach is playing at the Lyman Tavern. Zach is episode 12 on my podcast and he talks about how he’s married to Jack Mattingly and he plays a killer song about a zombie apocalypse.
Speaking of Jack, on Saturday April 22nd from 3pm - 6pm, he is playing at the Concrete Liquor store for Record Store Day because we also sell records inside (and gift items like crocheted hats, children's books, earrings and more!).
Friday April 28th is the Blue Room in Bellingham. Lazy Acres, Stilvettas and Jade House. Tickets are only $12 presale. Doors at 8, music at 9.
Saturday, April 29th, there’s a show at the Concrete Theatre featuring Pretty Much Nothing and Barefeet. Tickets are $10 at the theatre. $5 per band. Doors at 6pm!
Last but not least, I can't express how thankful I am to Clay Christofferson (Episode 6) for making me that amazing intro song. Wes Jones raves about Clay, and I can see why. He's incredibly talented, tall and humorous. Check him out at the Lyman Tavern for trivia on Tuesdays and Farmstrong on Wednesdays. If you need another person for your team, shoot me a message.
