In this episode, Ruth sits down with her daughter Kate Speer to discuss both the cost and the joy of following Christ. As a former missionary, Ruth served as a missionary in Japan for 36 years. Kate was born and raised there and shares her unique perspective as an "MK" or missionary kid. She shared how God changed her heart from adamantly refusing to be a missionary and the joy she has found in obedience to His call on her life.

As part of the video, a podcast with Liz Curtis Higgs is referenced. Here is the link for that talk about Mary of Bethany, who poured the precious ointment on the feet of Jesus.
