The Effects of God’s Anointing in Your Life

God wants to anoint you. His anointing will enable you to do more, act quicker and accomplish what He has called you to do in this world, His anointing adds the super in front of your natural. In this episode we look at the life of Saul, the first king of Israel. The Bible gives us an indepth view on how the anointing enabled, enhanced and elevated his life.

Key Verse: 1 Sam. 10

Although Samuel poured the oil on Saul’s head, it was God who anointed him. The anointing is a holy, supernatural endowment from heaven on your life that activates several things that allow you to do what you could not do before, see what you did not see before and speak with authority. God’s anointing is available to all who wants it.

verse 1: Saul was anointed to be Commander.

  • It means “to boldly stand out opposite, to announce, to praise, to show, to manifest”
  • We are anointed to praise the Lord, to show His greatness, and to manifest His glory.
  • The anointing’s purpose is to fulfill what God is calling you to do.

verse 6: The Holy Spirit will come mightily on you.

  • It literally means “to push you forward, to prosper, to advance , to succeed.”

verse 6: You will prophecy with the prophets.

  • Even though he was called to be king, the anointing helps him to prophecy
  • It means “to speak by inspiration, or speak under the influence of.”
  • 1 Cor. 14:3 Prophecy is to exhort, edify and comfort people. We look at what these words mean.

verse 6: You will be turned into another man

  • The anointing brings a transformative quality to your life. The old becomes new. It changes you.

verse 7: Do whatever needs to be done as the occation demands.

  • Whatever situations you are in, you can draw on the anointing to enable you to function effectively.

verse 8: You will wait for seven days,

  • The anointing teaches you the value and virtue of patience.

verse 9: I will give you another heart.

  • The anointing affects your passion, affections and source of life.

vers 22-23: it was time to stand tall, however Saul was hiding behind the baggage.

  • We need not hide behind baggage or circumstances, exuses or challenges.
  • The anointing will provide you peace in the face of adversity and make you deaf to critical and accusitory voices.
