The Church Girl Writes Dill Sauce for Baked Salmon

(easy enough for a tween to make!)

  • 1/2 C Mayonnaise
  • 1 T Half and Half
  • 1/2-1 t Dill Pickle Juice (from pickle jar!)
  • 2 T Fresh or 1/2 T dried dill

Mix together Mayo and half and half. Allow to thicken. Add dill and stir. Use pickle juice to thin to the right consistency--it should stay in place when you plate your salmon and sauce (not too runny!).

The Church Girl Writes Fabulous Pumpkin (Gospel) Spice Cake/Cookies

(easy enough for a teen to make for Thanksgiving!)

  • 1 box of Spice cake mix
  • 1 29 oz. can of pure pumpkin puree
  • 1 can cream cheese frosting
  • 1 C chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Oven 350. Mix spice cake and pumpkin puree.
Pour into a 9 x11" greased baking pan
OR
Drop by spoonfuls on parchment-covered baking sheets

Bake cake for 40-45 minutes, until center is set OR bake cookies for
10-13 minutes. Allow to cool.

Spread cream cheese frosting on as thick as possible and top with chopped nuts.

How's that for some GOSPEL SPICE?
