En 1859, au monastère orthodoxe de Sainte Catherine, Constantin von Tischendorf découvre par hasard un trésor inestimable : la plus ancienne Bible connue, copiée au IVe siècle. Composée de 347 feuillets en grec ancien, cette Bible est un témoignage impressionnant de l’effort des premiers copistes à préserver le texte biblique. Malgré des variantes mineures, elle confirme la fidélité du message chrétien transmis au fil des siècles. Aujourd’hui, ce manuscrit est accessible en ligne et continue d’inspirer les traducteurs et chercheurs du monde entier.
