SEAN TIMMS KEYBOARDIST AND SONGWRITER FOR AUSSIE PROGGERS UNITOPIA AND SOUTHERN EMPIRE

WITH NEW LEAD SINGER SHAUN HOLTON ZOOM SPECIAL EVENT LIVE FROM AUSTRALIA!

Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Interviewing the Legends I’m your host Ray Shasho.

Southern Empire is one of Australia's most exciting progressive rock bands.  Formed by keyboardist Sean Timms after the disbanding of Unitopia, Southern Empire will astound the listener with intricate yet catchy songs, amazing musicianship and a harder, more edgy sound perfectly suited to today's generation. For those who love the music of Dream Theater, IQ, Transatlantic, and Steven Wilson, this is the band you've been waiting for. After a 17-year involvement with Unitopia ended in 2013, Sean Timms had an album's worth of songs written, but no band to play and record them.

AND NOW Unitopia is back!

Drummer Chester Thompson and bassist Alphonso Johnson contributed their legendary talents as the new powerhouse rhythm section for Unitopia’s latest album ‘Seven Chambers.’

Both their résumés read like a who’s who of the music industry with Chester having worked with Frank Zappa, Weather Report and over thirty years with Genesis as their touring drummer, whilst Alphonso has also worked with Weather Report as well as Santana, George Duke, Phil Collins, Steve Hackett and countless others both as studio and touring musicians.

Sean Timms has been established as a session musician ever since he was a member of bands such as Hearts Of Fire in the 1980s. He is a revered engineer, composer, arranger & producer and the lead songwriter and keyboardist with Progressive Rock bands Unitopia and Southern Empire and also welcome new Southern Empire singer/multi-instrumentalist/songwriter Shaun Holton to Interviewing the Legends …
