Use Your Gifts to Serve Others
Today's Battle Drill Devotional: Use Your Gifts to Serve Others
God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. (1 Peter 4:10).
Read 1 Peter 4:1-11. God has a purpose for your life. He has a contribution he wants you to make. You were not put on earth simply to breathe and use up resources.
You have talents and abilities that can benefit other people. My attempts at DIY are a family joke. So I’m very grateful to those who can turn their hands to jobs around the house. I also have a hard time knowing one end of a car engine from another. So I am thankful for those with mechanical and engineering skills who can look at it for me. Everyone has different talents and abilities.
When I use my gifts and abilities, they can benefit others. If we don’t use the gifts God has given us, then we all miss out. I can bless you with mine and you can bless me with yours. Peter encourages us to use our gifts, talents and abilities well to serve each other. When we do, we bring glory to God.
THINK IT OVER
Think about the following:
- How are you using your gifts to serve others? What are some of the ways God might want you to use them to be a blessing to those around you?
